1 year in development in 4 photos

One year ago, The Great Thief 1 was just a concept — now, it's becoming a world. These four screenshots don’t just show progress — they show a commitment: to scale, to detail, and to vision.

At NeonexusStudios, we’re not making just another open-world game. We’re building something that can stand proudly alongside the giants. A living city where every street tells a story, every system works together, and every decision feels real.

Why did this take so long? Because we refused to compromise.

  • We spent months perfecting our driving and movement systems — they had to feel right, not rushed.

  • Our city layout went through countless redesigns, because we wanted it to feel alive and believable, not like a copy-paste map.

  • Dialogue, AI behavior, police response, interiors, weather — everything had to meet our internal standards for realism and depth.

We’re inspired by the greats — but TGT 1 is its own beast. A mix of narrative, chaos, and immersion, all built from the ground up by a small but relentless team.

This isn't a passion project. This is a full-on mission.

These four photos? They’re just a taste.
We’re only getting started.

Thank you for sticking with us.
